2023 NFL draft: Steelers host OT Darnell Wright for pre-draft visit
It is only a week until the 2023 NFL draft and the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to host prospects for pre-draft visits. Tuesday’s agenda includes three prospects including offensive tackle Darnell Wright.
Wright is one of several top prospects who line up nicely for the Steelers in terms of a team need and availability in the round. Wright’s been a fast riser among prospects and is consistently mocked in the middle of the first round.
If Peter Skoronski, Paris Johnson Jr. and Broderick Jones are all off the board went the Steelers get to pick No. 17, Wright makes perfect sense. He’s a classic wide-body and natural right tackle. Is this a good thing or a bad thing for the Steelers? In theory, Wright could come in and start on the right side from day one and Pittsburgh could try to kick Chuks Okorafor over to the left side, replacing Dan Moore Jr.
